**UI Standardization, Calendar Selection Limits, and Deep Syncing**

Today was characterized by visual polish, fixing the calendar interaction model, and ensuring our hardware alarms and cloud data never fall out of sync.

### 1. Refined Premium Header Aesthetics

Building on the changes made to the header yesterday, we refined dimensions to create a perfectly balanced Google Calendar-style navbar:

* **Consistent Scaling:** Standardized `HEADER_ICON_SIZE` to 32px globally across Hamburger, Search, Today, and Avatar icons for consistent visual weight.
* **Calendar Density Tweaks:** Reduced the multi-day Schedules view to a 3-day (`numberOfDays: 3`) format to make event details easier to read on narrow screens.
* **Time Axis Polish:** Narrowed the Time marker axis (Y-axis constraints) in the calendar container and increased text prominence by removing opacities.

### 2. Multi-Stage Selection and Triple-Write Protocol

The core calendar interaction model was refactored significantly to implement safety friction and 3-way synchronization:

* **Long-Press Protection:** Accidental temporal mutations are prevented by requiring "Long Press" to trigger event selection handles. Handles persist visually until an explicit commit or background tap.
* **Unified Callbacks:** Merged drag-and-drop operations and resize interactions under a unified `onDragSelectedEventEnd` callback that actively normalizes temporal limits and timestamps.
* **The 'Triple-Write' Protocol:** We introduced an atomic execution lifecycle via `executeEventUpdate` that guarantees no single layer is ever stale:
  1. **Cloud State:** Authoritative mutation execution in Convex.
  2. **Local Cache:** Real-time SQLite storage synchronization for fast offline reads.
  3. **Hardware Alignment:** Immediate `scheduleNextAlarm` Native Alarm triggering to reset physical OS signals instantly on mobile devices.

### 3. Multi-Stage Deletion Management

We addressed a pernicious bug ("Phantom Alarms") involving ghost notifications and orphaned hardware triggers.

* **'Three-Point Consistency' Deletion:** Implemented a new deletion workflow mirroring the Triple-Write updates:
  * CLOUD: Force standard cleanup in Convex using `.delete`.
  * CACHE: Add SQLite caching cleanup utilizing `deleteInstance` inside `useTaskActions`.
  * HARDWARE: Trigger immediate physical Native Alarm refresh.
* **Event Options Refinement:** Polished the three-dot action menu in the `EventDetailModal` for intuitive "Delete" and "Duplicate" operations.

### 4. Asynchronous Operational Feedback

Transactions now visually "hold" the user perfectly until they're confirmed, removing the "frozen app" confusion gap:

* **Global Loading Architecture:** Integrated `isLoading` props across all UI confirmations, swapping modals to high-performance `<ActivityIndicator>` animations to prevent layout shifts.
* **Thread Safety:** Implemented strict button-disabling policies when asynchronous commits fire, directly preventing destructive double-submission race conditions in SQLite.

### 5. Penalty Component Extensions & Gallery UX

Work on the "Embarrassing Photo" penalty component was finalized:

* **Native Gallery Fixes:** Upgraded `expo-image-picker` with the host Expo SDK to squash `NoSuchMethodError` crashes.
* **Navigational Snap:** Set sub-screen navigation to an optimized 150ms `slide_from_right` transition specifically for the `(penalties)` route group.
* **Digital Forfeit Options:** Re-tooled the Commit Direct channels and integrated 'Email Preview' components to perfectly resemble Gmail or modern Twitter/X card style previews.
