Track active waiver sessions when penalty waivers are in progress.

Active Waivers

The Waivers sub-tab displays any penalty waiver challenges that are currently in progress. When a user fails a commitment but has a waiver configured, the waiver session activates and appears here with a live countdown to the deadline.

Waiver Session Lifecycle

1. Commitment fails — The verification window closes without successful verification
2. Waiver activates — Instead of the penalty firing immediately, a waiver session begins
3. Challenge appears here — The user sees the waiver type, progress, and remaining time
4. Completion or expiry — If completed in time, the penalty is cancelled; if the deadline passes, the penalty fires

Session Card Details

Field	Description
Task Name	Which commitment triggered this waiver
Waiver Type	CAPTCHAs, Paragraph Transcription, Intensity Redo, or 5 KM Run
Progress	How much of the challenge is complete (e.g., “3 of 5 CAPTCHAs solved”)
Deadline	Countdown to when the penalty activates if the waiver is not completed
Penalty at Stake	What happens if the waiver expires (e.g., “Embarrassing Photo sent”)

Example

A user missed their 6:00 AM gym check-in. Their waiver configuration is “Solve 5 CAPTCHAs within 30 minutes.” The Waivers tab shows:

Morning Gym — Waiver Active Type: Solve CAPTCHAs (3 of 5 completed) Deadline: 18 minutes remaining At stake: Embarrassing Photo to [e-mail]

The user solves the remaining 2 CAPTCHAs within the deadline. The waiver completes, the penalty is cancelled, and the card disappears from this tab.
